Dallas Needs a Stronger Climate Plan
Directly invest in publicly owned electricity with the goal of 100% renewable energy by 2030
Eliminate gas hookups in new construction and transition away from the dangerous gas system
Advocate for all-electric DART transportation vehicles and eliminate fares to increase ridership
Bring back a resident led commission to review environmental policies and give them a fair vote
For the last year, the City of Dallas has been developing a climate action plan behind closed doors. We’ve seen the latest draft and it doesn’t do enough to protect our future. The current Dallas Climate Plan lacks some important measures that would increase equity and reduce pollution.
We are building a movement of people and organizations to tell Dallas City Council that we need a bolder climate action plan that protects people and planet!
We have a vision for a just and sustainable city. We call it the Dallas People’s Climate Action Plan.
